A.   I've always been a fan of the Pro1000H pattern. This glove is a combination of the classic tan horween, and the Ken Caminiti Black HCB version, blended together to highlight the best aspects of both styles, with a modern twist of HSW for added comfort. The black hand stall hides wear and sweat stains, while the shell and palm are left tan so the glove can develop the horween patina we all love.   Q.  How long have you been in interested in baseball and baseball gloves and back story of why? A.  The 98' baseball season and homerun chase really peaked my interest in baseball. I started, as many do, with a card collection, which then expanded to balls, bats, memorabilia, and of course - gloves. Over the years I have continued growing my collection and learning more about baseball history.   Q.  First baseball glove or glove memory? A.  My first baseball glove was a 12 Nokona kangaroo leather glove. I got when I was around 11 years old. Knowing nothing about gloves I still always appreciated the look of a classic glove like what was used in the 80s. This was the closest I could get to that, while restricted to ordering through Sports Illustrated magazines.   Q.  Favorite glove in collection that would never trade? A.  My favorite glove is a 87' pro5x-sc. This glove is my favorite not only because of the year and model, but also because of where I got it. It was purchased from former utility infielder Ted Kubiak, who said it was used by one of his players when he coached in the minors.   Q.  Any memory of buying from Ballgloves.com / Don Morton Sports in the past or favorite DMS model? A.  DMS has always been a go-to site for collectors. I remember purchasing a Lousiville Slugger C55 12 H web Pro Flare many years ago. This was my first official purchase as a Collector and my first horween glove.    Q.  I like how the deer skin lining makes the glove really comfortable. Noticed the tan horween looks darker with the black laces and trim? The Rawlings embroidery on thumb is great. A.  Yes, I was hoping the tan would play off the black so it would look deeper & richer, thats great! Always was a fan of the Rawlings embroidery.         Select This Item
